Others astonished at the tragic news
will exclaim in surprise....grasping for answers....wondering why?
A person of so much beauty and talent
still just in the midst of her prime
seemed to be destined to leave this earth before her natural time.
No doubt her family and fans will proclaim
How Whitney Houston's sudden death is a TREMENDOUS loss
to the Entertainment World because her's was a Voice that reigned Supreme
Her God-given musical talent is what made her an Iconic Pop Queen.
Unfortunately, her life was marred with turmoil and pain
as her celebrity status was tarnished due to the mistakes she made.
The ultimate loss of her life is the price she paid
for fortune and fame of being in the entertainment game.
But alas! Like so many bright stars she too burned out
her light extinguished like a moth to flame
with only the memories of her former triumphs to remain.
As we bid her Farewell
in spite of our shock, anger and grief
We send up prayers to God Almighty
Thanking him for her life no matter how brief
and give him praise for his child Whitney
whose soul has returned to Heaven,
now resting in Eternal Peace.
